Vol 2, No 1 (2010)

This journal issue represents the work of the students in Music and Technoculture (MUSC 2080), a graduate seminar offered by Kiri Miller at Brown University in the spring of 2010. Five graduate students (Bussigel, Inglese, Richman, Whitmore, and Wood) and two undergraduates (Nicholson and Sigel) were enrolled in this course. Each student produced a project proposal abstract and an annotated bibliography, as well as a conference-presentation-length final paper. (Topics sometimes shifted a bit between the proposal stage and the final paper.) The students went through several peer-review rounds in which they provided and responded to feedback on each others' work. Full text of this material will be publicly available through the summer of 2010, after which it may be available by contacting the authors. The authors retain the rights to their work and may have further plans for it in terms of publication/presentation in other venues; material may be removed from the site when it is revised for publication elsewhere.
